The University of Copenhagen was founded in 1479 and is one of the oldest Universities in Northern Europe. The Faculty of Science is famous for the Nobel laureate Niels Bohr and his work on quantum mechanics. Department of Computer Science was established 1970 as the first Danish computer science department. It's first Professor, Turing Laureate Peter Naur, created the algorithmic programming language ALGOL 60.

The conference location is right next to the city park Fælledparken which is ideal for walk-and-talk.

Around the park you will also find the Niels Bohr Institute of Physics as well as the 3 Michelin Star restaurant Geranium (more on GUIDE, but remember that lunch is provided at the conference).
